The Department of American Sign Language offers courses in language, literature and culture that enable students to complete an institutional requirement of Language (LN) as well as an Associate’s of Arts degree. We prepare students to function effectively in the Deaf community using American Sign Language while gaining an understanding and appreciation of humanistic ideals and values.
Upon the completion of the ASL Program, students will be well suited for complementary studies in Education, Deaf Studies, medical fields, sales fields, acting, and ASL/English Interpreting. The program will provide students with a strong foundation in American Sign Language and Deaf culture.
