Workshop Learning Outcomes Overview

  1. Students will be able to introduce themselves in 60 seconds using the ROE model (relax, open, eye contact).
  2. Students will apply 3 practicing techniques.
  3. Students will receive and apply feedback.

  1. By the end of this session, students will be able to identify 3 of the 5 components of the SMART acronym.
  2. By the end of this session, students will be able to integrate the SMART goal model into 1 personal goal.

  1. Recall 2 decision-making models.
  2. Apply a decision-making matrix to evaluate options.
  3. Reflect on their own decision-making style.

  1. Identify two of the characteristics of Impostor Syndrome.
  2. Apply at least one personal strategy for reducing impostor feelings.

  1. Define what self-advocacy is.
  2. Describe 2 ways self-advocacy improves academic success.

  1. By the end of this session, students will be able to identify the 4 phases of the “Systems Approach.”
  2. By the end of this session, students will be able to practice applying the “Systems Approach” model in at least 1 scenario.
