Certification
State & National Certification Information
Prior to working as an interpreter in the state of Utah, individuals must obtain interpreter certification. The ASL/English Interpreting Program at Salt Lake Community College will prepare students to seek state and/or national certification.
A person must be 18 years of age to be eligible to take the State Certification Exam. A person must be 18 years of age and have an a bachelor’s degree to be eligible to take the National Certification Exam.
