The Job & Internship Fair is open to on-campus and off-campus/external employers who are recruiting for internships as well as part-time and full-time roles.
We host this Fair twice per year; once in fall semester and once in spring semester.
We offer discounted registration pricing for government & non-profit organizations and free registration for on-campus SLCC departments.
The Seasonal Job Fair is open to employers who are recruiting for part-time seasonal/temporary/holiday roles.
We offer this Fair once per year in fall semester.
- Our Job & Internship Fair is primarily attended by SLCC students, and we do also welcome community members and students from other Utah institutions to attend.
- Our Fairs are a fun & casual setting in which to network with students, build brand awareness and connections on campus, and recruit diverse, skilled students and community members.
- Students are looking for part-time and full-time opportunities to help pay for school and cost of living.
- Many students are "shopping" around for jobs and companies to fit their needs and personal values.
- Students' top three priorities according recent data are: 1) companies who actively value diverse, inclusive, and equitable practices, 2) companies who offer flexible hours, and 3) companies who pay a minimum of $15.00 an hour.
- At our Fairs, students are not always looking for a lifelong career at these events; we encourage students to attend to begin networking with employers and exploring career options even if they are not actively job seeking.
- Some students may be required to attend a Fair for a class assignment.
- Speaking Spanish and recruiting in Spanish is highly encouraged!
All Salt Lake Community College Fair registrations are done within Handshake. If you do not yet have a Handshake account, learn how to get started here.
