Join us at our annual Convocation event to kick off the new academic year. This year’s event will also celebrate the inauguration of Dr. Greg Peterson, the College's 9th president. More than an inauguration, this event is a celebration of you — the faculty and staff who bring SLCC’s mission to life every day. Together we’ll reflect on the achievements of the past year, look ahead to what’s possible, and gather in the spirit of opportunity, collaboration, and community.

FREE SLCC Headshots for Employees

SLCC is offering a complementary headshot to all SLCC employees on a first-come, first-serve basis from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Headshots will stop right at 10:15 a.m. when the Plenary Session starts. 

  • Please come dressed and prepped to take a headshot from waist up. 
  • Headshots will be distributed in an upcoming SLCC Today 1-3 weeks following Convocation. Watch for SLCC Today weekly on Wednesday in your employee email inbox. 
  • Headshots are not required, this is being offered as an employee perk of the annual Convocation event.  

SLCC Escape Room

  • Sign-up opens at 12:15 p.m. in the lobby of the Markosian Library (at the podium) and runs on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Escape rooms begin promptly at 12:35 p.m.
  • Each game lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • We will run two escape rooms simultaneously, each accommodating 5 to 15 participants.
