Early Childhood Care and Education

At Eccles Lab School, we offer developmentally appropriate early childhood care and education for children aged 2 to 5 years. Our annual calendar follows the college's academic calendar; therefore, we are closed between semesters when the college is not in session.

Hours

8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Learning Centers

Learning centers are opportunities for children to explore different activities presented in the classroom for the development of cognitive skill—such as science, math, motor skills, creative art, dramatic play, sensory experiences, and music—based on their ability and interest.

Tuition

Tuition is based on a sliding scale fee determined by household income and family size. Contracts are generated per semester with the tuition amount divided into four equal payments. You can make payments online here or in person at the SLCC Cashier's Office.

Continuous Enrollment

Near the end of the semester, an Intent to Return letter is sent to parents so they can indicate whether their child will be returning the following semester. Parents choosing to leave school for one semester (e.g. skipping Summer semester but returning for Fall semester) must indicate their decision on the form.

  • 8:00 - 8:15 Arrival
  • 8:15 - 8:45 Breakfast
  • 8:45 - 9:00 Clean-up, wash hands
  • 9:00 - 9:45 Centers
  • 9:45 - 10:00 Clean-up
  • 10:00 - 11:25 Outdoor Time
  • 11:25 - 11:45 Wash hands, Lunch
  • 11:45 - 12:00 Prepare for rest, or home
  • 12:00 - 2:00 Rest time
  • 2:00 - 2:30 Snack, clean-up, wash hands
  • 2:30 - 3:45 Center time
  • 3:45 - 4:00 Clean-up, wash hands
  • 4:00 - 4:45 Outdoor Time
  • 4:45 - 5:00 Prepare for home
