SLCC Foundation Mission & Vision

Mission Statement: Through effective relationship and resource management, we engage donors, community leaders, and industry partners to ensure Salt Lake Community College remains accessible, relevant, and transformative for all students.
Vision Statement: The Salt Lake Community College Foundation enables SLCC to be the bridge to economic mobility for all Utahns, emphasizing first-generation and low-income students.
These statements are designed to:
- Inspire leadership among Board members
- Emphasize the Foundation's unique role as SLCC's sole fundraising entity
- Highlight the importance of community, industry, and donor engagement
- Reinforce SLCC's mission of access and opportunity for all
Core Functions
The Core Functions of the SLCC Foundation Board include:
- Supporting and leading fundraising efforts that advance the college's strategic priorities.
- Identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to build lasting philanthropic relationships.
- Serving as financial leaders through personal giving and inspiring others to invest in SLCC's future.
- Advocating for SLCC within the community to elevate its visibility, reputation, and impact.
- Leveraging personal and professional networks to create meaningful connections that support student success and institutional growth.
- Overseeing and managing philanthropic resources with integrity and transparency to maximize their impact.
