Select Health is a not-for-profit health insurance company serving over 1,000,000 members in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado. Select Health also invests in the community through education. The Select Health Scholarship is a two-year full scholarship for freshman students with demonstrated financial need at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) who are interested in a career in healthcare. In addition to paying for an awardee’s education, SelectHealth invests in each student’s personal and professional growth. Students who earn this scholarship will have the opportunity to participate in important mentoring activities throughout the year, and visit Select Health and Intermountain Health facilities to learn about the various aspects of healthcare and health administration.

About the SelectHealth Scholarship:

  • SelectHealth will award six two-year scholarships each year
  • The SelectHealth Scholarship award is $2,500 per semester, which can be used for
    • Tuition and fees
    • Books
    • Supplies
    • Other educational expenses
  • Awarded students will receive individual professional mentorship from Select Health

To qualify for the SelectHealth Scholarship, students must:

  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Have a 3.0+ GPA
  • Be a graduate from a Salt Lake area school district: Jordan, Canyons, Murray, Granite, or Salt Lake City
  • Have a goal to graduate with an associate degree within two years
  • Demonstrate dedication to improving our community through civic engagement and community service.
