Welcome to the Study Abroad Ambassador program through the Engaged Learning Office (ELO) Scholarship! The Ambassador Program is designed to promote SLCC Global learning experiences through the voices and stories of study abroad students. Your role as an ambassador is crucial in fostering a supportive and informative environment for prospective students, helping them to explore new horizons and enrich their academic experiences.

A full scholarship for your desired SLCC Study Abroad program (Does not cover tuition).
Title of 'Program Ambassador' for your desired program.
A certificate of recognition upon attending the Study Abroad Showcase during your term as an ambassador.

Becoming a Study Abroad Ambassador

Students who apply to any SLCC Study Abroad Program are given the opportunity to apply for the SLCC Study Abroad Scholarship. If awarded the scholarship, students are then offered the Study Abroad Ambassadorship based on merit. The role of an ambassador in this program is limited to a one-year commitment.

Ambassador of Study Abroad Commitment

Ambassadors are expected to embody what it means to be an SLCC student! Here is what we expect from our Ambassadors:

Promotion of Study Abroad programs to the student body through various channels.
Attendance and active participation in the Study Abroad Showcase organized by the Engaged Learning Office.
Commit to at least 2 Study Abroad events.
Upholding the values of varied backgrounds, equity, and inclusion in all ambassador activities and communications.

Note: Students will be provided with an agreement form upon enrollment that will outline all responsibilities and expectations in detail.
