Quaranteens - Pamela Beach & Justin Hackworth

Local artists Pamela Beach and Justin Hackworth examine the experiences of ten teenagers as they navigated the unique challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic through intimate interviews and the creation of twenty portraits – ten oil paintings by Beach and ten photographs by Hackworth. With the portraits hung side by side, we see the same subject from two distinct perspectives, showcasing the unique strengths and visions of each artist and the power each medium offers. The pairings will include a short statement from the sitter, describing their pandemic experience.
