Drop-in Fitness Classes (May 17-August 7)

Drop-in fitness classes are available for current students, faculty and staff to attend just for fun.

  • Reservations can be made up to 3 days in advance or day of (if availability allows). Please use the button below to make a reservation. All classes are held in LAC 176.
  • On the day of class, check in at the LAC desk. They will confirm your reservation and issue you a class card that will be given to the instructor.

Mondays

  • [Starting June 14, 2021] 8:00 – 9:50 am Pickleball – Julie
    • Learn the game or come to play, all equipment provided. Class will sometimes be indoors or on the outdoor courts in the corner of campus
  • 5:30pm – 6:40pm 10 Rounds - Aimee
    • An energetic workout that will involve cardio kickboxing, kickboxing bags, intervals, weights and core for one fun dynamic hour.

Tuesdays

  • 6:00 -7:00 a.m. Fit and Firm Physiques - Paula
    • Group weight training that will use barbells, dumbbells and a variety of other fun equipment for the workout
  • [Starting June 14, 2021] 8:30 – 9:30am Yoga in the Park (well park-like quad) Val
    • Join us for an amazing practice outside in the park-like setting of the quad (area by the amphitheater at Redwood).  Please bring your own mat and yoga block but don’t forget the sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and water
  • 8:45-9:45 a.m. Zumba – Daphne
    • A fun fusion of Latin and International music that combines Latin/international rhythms with dance and aerobic moves for a fun cardiovascular workout.
  • 10:00 -11:10am Fit and Firm Physiques - Daphne
    • Group weight training that will use barbells, dumbbells and a variety of other fun equipment for the workout
  • 2:00 – 3:10 p.m. Zumba - Karmel
    • A fun fusion of Latin and International music that combines Latin/international rhythms with dance and aerobic moves for a fun cardiovascular workout.

Wednesday

Use the button below to purchase memberships, punch cards or passes. You must present your receipt at the front desk along with your picture ID.

Purchase Memberships

Currently registered students with their activated SLCC One Card are eligible to use the SLCC Recreation Facilities at Redwood, South and Jordan when open for Student/Faculty/Staff general use (please make a reservation before attending the LAC at Redwood).

Faculty and staff with a current SLCC One Card or Fob are eligible to use the SLCC Recreation Facilities when open for Student/Faculty/Staff general use (please make a reservation before attending the LAC at Redwood).

Alumni are eligible to purchase memberships at the faculty/staff significant other rates to use the SLCC Recreation Facilities.

Alumni will need to display their Alumni SLCC One Card when entering the facility.

Requires proof of cohabitation. Primary member must have current SLCC One Card or fob. Current students can purchase one significant other pass per semester.

Dependents of current students, ages 15 and above, who are currently living at home are eligible to be the “significant other” for students, faculty and staff with a few conditions.

  • Sponsoring student/faculty or staff must be 18 years of age and must be present at all times with their dependent.
  • A weight and cardio room orientation must be completed before dependents ages 15-17 are allowed to use the workout equipment.

Registration for camps, workshops or conferences at the LAC will be handled by the respective department. 

Students, faculty and staff are eligible to purchase 5 guest passes per semester. To use the guest pass the

  • Sponsoring student/faculty or staff must be present with their guest.
  • All guests are required to adhere to the SLCC Student Code of Conduct.
  • Dependents of current students, ages 15 and above, be the guest for students, faculty and staff.
  • Guests 15 – 17 years of age must complete a weight and cardio room orientation before being allowed to use the workout equipment.

Community members are eligible to purchase a fitness class punch card for Recreation Fitness Classes. Entry to SLCC recreation facilities is only available 10 minutes before class time and class participants must exit after their class is complete.

Lockers are available for Faculty and Staff to rent on an annual basis. Lockers are on a first come first serve basis. All current users will need to renew by Aug 24, 2021.
