To graduate from SLCC, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. This GPA requirement is described in more detail in the General Catalog. When your GPA falls below a 2.0, a registration restriction may be placed on your account so you are unable to register for future classes until you complete advising activities that make you aware of resources that are available for improving your GPA. These resources can include study skills workshops or test-taking strategies, but they also include policies that can apply to extenuating circumstances that can allow you to drop, withdraw, or retake classes.

It is important to note that while you are required to have a 2.0 or higher to graduate from SLCC, admissions requirements at other colleges and universities may require a higher GPA.

In addition to graduation requirements, you also need to successfully complete 70% of your attempted credit hours, also known as Satisfactory Academic Progress, and complete within 150% of the credit hours needed for your program of study, also known as Maximum Time Frame in order to remain eligible for Financial Aid. If you are receiving financial aid, you may need to complete the following forms in addition to any Academic Standing interventions.
