Volunteer or Donate

The Community Writing Center (CWC) supports, motivates and educates people of all abilities and educational backgrounds who want to use writing for practical needs, civic engagement, and personal expression. Our programs offer skill development, creative outlets, practical application and supportive writing environments. We also partner with community and governmental agencies and businesses to empower their clients, staff and volunteers.

Many of the CWC’s programs are supported by donations and volunteers. Salt Lake area adults are encouraged to volunteer their time and support the CWC through a financial donation.

Volunteer

Have you considered mentoring a writing group or do you simply want to help the CWC any way you can? We have a number of opportunities for you to help—from one-day events to bimonthly writing group sessions, there is something for everyone.

We’re currently looking for volunteers for the Utah Arts Festival and the Utah Pride Festival.

If you are interested in becoming a CWC Volunteer, please attend an upcoming Volunteer Orientation or contact us at cwc@slcc.edu.

Volunteer Orientation will be held on:

1st & 3rd Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m.
CWC, 210 East 400 South #8
