Areas

Institutional Effectiveness is made up of three areas: the Enrollment Council, chaired by the Vice President of IE, and the offices of Data Science & Analytics and Strategic Analysis & Accreditation. While each of these areas is responsible for specific functions, the offices work closely on projects.

Data Science & Analytics

The Data Science & Analytics (DSA) team maintains the college’s Data Warehouse, builds and maintains data products such as reports and dashboards, provides data on an ad hoc basis, submits official reports according to state and federal requirements, engages in original research and assessment for program improvement, aids in the administration and analysis of surveys, and chairs the Institutional Review Board.

Strategic Analysis & Accreditation

The Strategic Analysis & Accreditation (SAA) team develops and facilitates strategic planning processes, ensures we remain in good standing with our accrediting body by adhering to its standards, policies, and eligibility requirements, works with the Board of Trustees to assess the college’s mission fulfillment, and develops and facilitates the program review process for non-instructional units.

Enrollment Council

The Enrollment Council is a cross-divisional planning and advisory group with the goal of achieving enrollment and performance funding targets. The council will create and execute a five-year enrollment plan (2023-2027) to stabilize overall enrollments and grow Salt Lake Tech. Working collaboratively and cohesively across divisions, the council will set enrollment and performance funding targets and design and execute the necessary strategy to achieve those targets. It accomplishes this by identifying and removing barriers to registration, using data and current best practices to manage and inform enrollment and institutional performance.
