Program Overview
This selective admission program is completed in two semesters and prepares students to meet the State of Utah Practical Nursing licensure requirements, including eligibility to sit for the NCLEX-PN. Students learn to provide safe, ethical, and patient-centered care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians across a variety of healthcare settings. The curriculum includes medical terminology, fundamentals of nursing practice, medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, public health, and pharmacology. Skills developed include medication administration, patient monitoring, clinical judgment, communication, infection control, documentation using electronic health records, and hands-on lab and clinical experiences.

Certification
- Graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN, and to apply for a Utah Practical Nursing License.
