Step 2: Meet with Your Academic Advisor
Schedule an appointment (in-person, phone, or video call) with an Academic Advisor to verify your program of study & find out about placement testing requirements. Contact the Academic Advising Office:

Step 3: Placement Testing (Speak with your Academic Advisor about if placement testing is needed)
For Certificate Programs: Schedule your CASAS Test
For Degree Programs (AS, AAS, Apprenticeship):
Schedule the SLCC Math and Reading Placement
Once your placement test is completed. Contact your advisor to plan your course schedule and to register.

Workforce Training Not-For-Credit Programs

Follow these steps to enroll in skilled short-term training programs:

  1. Select Program of Interest
    • Click on your area of interest. Or you can click on the All Programs box and this will connect you to the A-Z index.
  2. View Program Page
    • Once you click on the program you are interested in you will be directed to the program page.
    • On this page you can find out the following: Program information, Occupations, Wages, Certification Information, Pricing, Funding Available.
  3. Register Now
    • Once you read through the information you can click on ‘Register Now’ button. Note: You will be taken to the Enrole Registration System.
    • You will be taken directly to the session, course, and class you are interested in registering in.
  4. Create Student Profile
    • If you are new to the system, click on “Create Profile” to enter your information and register for upcoming sessions, courses, and classes. Enter ALL information requested, including reviewing, and accepting the Financial Responsibility Statement.

ESL Programs

      1. Complete the online SLCC application online, slcc.edu/apply
      2. Take ESL Placement Test
        • After admission, you will receive an email in your Bruinmail from ‘Scorekeeper’ with information on accessing your test. You will have two weeks from receiving that email to complete your test. Once you have started your test you must complete it within 24 hours in one sitting.

      3. Make an Appointment with an Academic Advisor
        • Meet with an advisor after completing the assessment.
      1. Register for ESL classes.
      2. Pay Tuition.
