* Does this program offer a certificate?

- Yes. You can earn the certificate in 16 short weeks

* Is there a credit pathway for this program?

- These courses are not-for-credit; however, there is a pathway that can lead to credit. After completion of both WTMD 0910 and WTMD 0920, students can apply for credit in SLCC BTEC 1025 (3 credits). After completion of both WTMD 0930 and 0940, students can apply for credit for SLCC BTEC 2035 (2 credits).

* Do I need to apply for admission to SLCC to register for this program?

- No

* What job will I be prepared following this training?

- These foundational courses provide the basic knowledge and skills required for individuals to gain entry-level positions in the medical device industry such as Quality Inspector, Quality Assurance Technician or Quality Control Techncian.

Funding

If you are approved for funding, STIT will pay 50% of the cost of the tuition associated with the course.
