SLCC Summer Bridge FAQ

The SLCC Summer Bridge Program is a unique opportunity to prepare you to be successful in college. It is a chance to get a head start towards your degree or certificate by learning about all the resources available to you at SLCC. It's also an opportunity to earn college credit (for free!) and get to know the campus and people who work here. And you'll be able to explore majors and career paths.

Graduating seniors from the following backgrounds will be given priority. However, enrollment is not exclusive to the following:

  • First Generation College Going
  • A racial minority
  • Undocumented
  • LGBTQAI+
  • A student with a disability (IEP or 504 plan in place)
  • Low-income
  • System impacted (aging out of foster care)

There are many benefits to participating in the Summer Bridge program, including:

  • Tuition free: Possibility of earning 6 credits towards a degree or certificate.
  • Stipends: We don't want you to have to choose between work and school so we will provide a stipend in exchange for your full participation.

The Summer Bridge program is 8 weeks long, from June 12 - August 5.

The Summer Bridge program will be an in-person experience held in the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.

Thank you for your interest in our Summer Bridge program. Our application will open up February 2023, if you would like to get updates of when the application opens please Sign-up for Bridge Updates.
