Agustin Bautista Silva
Assistant Director
Pialli nehuatl notoca Agustin, hello my name is Agustin I have a Bachelor's degree from Weber State University in Electronics Engineering. I was born in Guerrero, Mexico and I am a first-generation college student. College is hard as it is and not being able to know who to turn to with questions can make things harder. That's where I come in, I specifically work with first year students from our Summer Bridge Program, but that does not mean that if you are not part of our program, you can't ask questions, so come visit us if you get stuck trying to navigate SLCC. Our doors are always open, and we are always willing to help. When I am not working with students I like to learn about other cultures and languages. I like nature so being outdoors is a must for me when the weather gets warm. That is a little bit about me, good luck in your classes, pongansen las pilas y hechenle ganas.

Amayrani Zarate
Program Associate
I am a proud immigrant from Hidalgo Mexico, however, I have lost big parts of my culture from moving to Utah. I understand that was the sacrifice my parents had to make for me to not have to work at a young age like them. My parents were forced to give up on their educational aspirations however, they saw the value in education and wanted to give me the opportunity they never had. Nothing has ever come easy which has pushed me to always strive to be better than I was yesterday. I may come across as a serious person, but that's because I believe every second is important to be one step closer to my goals. My major is graphic design because I love art and the beauty of self-expression. One of my favorite experiences I get in graphic design is getting lost in a project for hours until I have perfected it to the best of my abilities. I often worry about the future however.
