Associate's Degree Students

The Horizonte Scholarship for Credit Hour Students is for Horizonte graduates who are interested in obtaining an Associate’s Degree at Salt Lake Community College.

Scholarship Application deadline is March 1 annually for scholarship award beginning the following Fall Semester. The scholarship renews every semester to graduation, if awardee maintains a 2.0 GPA and takes a minimum of six credits per semester.

  1. Apply to be a student at SLCC

  2. Once you have your student number, please visit ScholarshipUniverse to fill out the scholarship application.
  3. After answering questions, you should see the Horizonte scholarship application.
  4. Fill out the requested information and you will be reviewed for eligibility.

Award amounts are now based on program enrollment:

  • Tuition & Basic Fees
    • 12-18 credit hours = $1,700 per semester
    • 9-11 credit hours = $1,450 per semester
    • 6-8 credit hours = $1,200 per semester
  • Books
    • 12-18 credit hours = $250 per semester
    • 9-11 credit hours = $175 per semester
    • 6-8 credit hours = $125 per semester
  • You are responsible for paying the remaining balance of your tuition, fees and books each semester.
  • You must enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester that you receive the scholarship.
  • You must agree to:
    • Write a thank you letter (details given if awarded scholarship)
    • Meet with your academic advisor at least once a semester
    • Re-apply each academic year that you wish to continue receiving this scholarship
