Utah History Month

Every January, Salt Lake Community College celebrates Utah History Month by exploring the diverse stories, contributions, and experiences that have shaped our state. From Indigenous peoples who have called this land home for thousands of years to waves of pioneers, immigrants, and settlers, Utah's history reflects a complex tapestry of cultures and communities. Throughout the month, we examine the social, political, and economic forces that have influenced Utah's development, and we recognize the ongoing contributions of all communities to our state's present and future. SLCC is proud to provide educational programming that encourages historical understanding and meaningful dialogue.
