  • Complete training on the SLCC curriculum
  • Teach the SLCC curriculum in full and use SLCC approved assessments
  • Annually upload a CE course syllabus that aligns with the SLCC syllabus to MyCE
  • Attend ongoing discipline-specific professional development and concurrent enrollment training
  • Facilitate student course evaluations each semester
  • Participate in and facilitate liaison visits

Corrective Action

The primary goal of the CE Program is alignment with program requirements. If a CE Instructor fails to meet all requirements, the following steps will be taken:

  • When the Liaison identifies an issue, they should discuss it with the CE instructor as soon as possible. This may be all that is required, especially if the CE Instructor is new to CE or to SLCC and only needs the issue pointed out. In cases where the issue is identified by the CE Department, the Department will notify the Liaison so they can discuss the concern with the CE Instructor.
  • If the issue is more complex or does not have a quick resolution, the Liaison and the CE Instructor will develop a plan to make corrections and outline a timeline for improvement.
  • The liaison will follow up according to the agreed-upon timeline to identify if the issue has been resolved.
  • If the issue remains, the Liaison and CE Instructor will again discuss it and update the plan and timeline for improvement. At this point, the Liaison will notify the CE Director via email to outline the plan and timeline.
  • The CE Director will notify the CE Coordinator and CE Instructor of the issue and improvement plan, so that the High School Administration is aware of the non-compliance concern.
  • The Liaison will follow up with the CE Instructor according to the updated timeline to check on the status of the issue and notify the CE Director via email as to the outcome.

If the issue is resolved, the Liaison and CE Instructor will work together to ensure that it does not repeat in following semesters.

If the issue is not resolved, the CE Director will notify the CE Instructor and CE Coordinator that the CE Instructor's approval will be withdrawn the following semester unless the CE Instructor emails a correction plan for resolving the issue by the end of the semester.

The CE Director and Liaison will review the plan. If it is approved, the CE Instructor will be placed on probation for the upcoming semester and the Liaison will actively monitor to see that the issue has been fully resolved. If the issue returns the following semester, approval will be withdrawn for future semesters.
