ESL Summer Bridge
Salt Lake Community College is excited to offer the Summer Bridge program for English Language Learning students starting Advanced I ESL coursework for Summer 2024. This 8-week program will run from Monday, June 10 to Friday, August 2, 2024, and is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to start pursuing an associate degree or certificate.
As an ESL Bridge participant, you will be able to:
- Receive a Summer scholarship covering tuition and class fees.
- Potential to continue into our Bridge Bruin Scholars Program after Summer and receive a Fall and Spring scholarship depending on school performance.
- Participate in social activities and events.
- Receive a potential stipend during the Summer semester.
- Receive individualized support through Bridge peer mentors and coordinators.
- Build connections with peers, staff and faculty.
- Learn about resources available at Salt Lake Community College.
What you need to know
- All Summer Bridge activities for the 8 weeks will be mandatory unless stated otherwise.
- The program will take place Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm.
- After the Summer Bridge is completed, you can continue with ESL classes or transfer to a SLCC program working toward a degree or certificate.
- You will be taking TESL 1410, Listening/Speaking from the ESL Advanced I level.
