Thayne Center Leadership Series
The Thayne Center Leadership Series are workshops aimed to empower students with opportunities to develop skills and practice using different tools to become effective leaders in their communities and at the college. We believe that leadership is a quality that can be nurtured and developed in everyone, and that's why we're thrilled to offer this program completely free of charge to all of our students. Each workshop in this series is designed to be a standalone event, meaning students do not need to attend the previous workshops to join any particular session. Students can pick and choose the workshops that align with your interests and schedule without any prerequisite attendance.
Our Leadership Series is a dynamic initiative that covers a wide range of essential leadership topics, including advocacy, public speaking, setting SMART goals, and identifying emotions and how it impacts relationships . Whether you aspire to lead in your academic pursuits, within student organizations, or in your future professional endeavors, this program will provide you opportunities to practice different leadership skills and apply them in a variety of contexts. Led by experienced Thayne Center staff, our sessions are interactive and engaging, fostering a supportive learning environment where students can connect, collaborate, and grow together. We firmly believe that leadership is about making a positive impact on others and creating lasting change and we emphasize hands-on experiences and real-world application. Please join us this year, no pre-registration is required.
*Leadership development workshops are free for all SLCC students. No pre-registration is required.
