Business Honors Scholar

Starts Fall 2023

Business Honors Scholars (BHS) provides students the opportunity to take the concepts they learn in the classroom “to the next level” through activities and projects of interest to them, many of which may serve a greater good within the community. BHS enriches education. Each semester students will establish goals to accomplish and select, or design, activities of interest to accomplish them. Students may work individually, in teams, or as part of a class project but always in consultation with a faculty mentor. Students may draw from any of the following activities or design a project and submit it for approval.

  • Undergraduate Research
  • Work on a project with a non-profit organization
  • Publication Studies Courses and Projects
  • Diversity Courses and Co-Curricular Projects
  • Internships/externships and Cooperative Education
  • Community Engaged Learning project
  • Global/International Learning/Study Abroad
  • Inquiry-Based Research and Scenario-Based Learning
  • Capstone Courses and Projects

As BHS matures the world becomes the facilitated laboratory where students will develop skills in leadership, collaboration, time management, conflict resolution, negotiation, and networking, along with a deeper appreciation for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
