Requirements
Upon graduation, students will receive a medallion, recognition, and an Honors Program designation on their transcript if they meet the following criteria. The transcript designation will qualify students for the transfer agreements with partner four-year honors colleges.
- Complete degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3.
- Successfully pass all Honors Courses (9 credits): HON 2060, HON 2100 and HON 2211.
- Participate in two Enrichment Experiences per semester and write descriptive/reflective entries about them in their ePortfolio.
- Engage in 3 formal High-Impact Practices (HIPs). One will be a strong ePortfolio. For the second and third, students can choose from the following: Undergraduate Research, Study Abroad, Domestic Study, Community-Based Learning, Internship, Publication, Writing Intensive, Common Intellectual Experience, or another HIP that meets with the approval of SLCC’s Honors Program.
